Questions About This Product

The things people actually want to know before they cook with it.

What is the actual difference between Graza Sizzle and Drizzle?
They are the same Picual olives handled at different points in the season. Drizzle comes from an earlier, greener October harvest and is the bolder, peppery, more aromatic oil meant for finishing. Sizzle comes from riper olives picked later in the season and is milder and mellower, which makes it the everyday cooking oil. Graza sums it up as Drizzle for eating and Sizzle for heating.
Which bottle should I reach for when I am cooking?
Sizzle is the one for the pan and the oven: roasting, searing, sauteing, pan-frying, baking and marinating. Drizzle is designed to go on after the heat is off, over finished pasta, salads, soup, bread, cheese or eggs. Keeping both within arm's reach of the stove is the whole point of the variety pack.
Is it a waste to cook with Drizzle?
It is not dangerous, but it is expensive and largely pointless. The grassy, peppery aromatics that make Drizzle worth its price are the first thing heat drives off, so you pay for flavor you then cook away. Extra virgin olive oil generally smokes somewhere in the 350 to 410F range, and Drizzle is the more heat-sensitive of the two, so save it for the finish.
Can I fry with Sizzle, and what about high-heat searing?
Sizzle is Graza's high-heat oil and is sold for roasting, searing and pan-frying, and Wirecutter has called it the best all-purpose oil it tested. It is still extra virgin olive oil, so it is not a neutral refined oil with a very high smoke point, and hard ripping-hot work will eventually push it. Graza also introduced a separate product, Frizzle, aimed specifically at deep frying, which tells you where the everyday Sizzle bottle sits.
Why does Graza come in a plastic squeeze bottle instead of glass?
The squeeze bottle is the brand's original 2022 format and much of the reason it caught on: it pours in a controlled stream, is easy to squeeze one-handed over a pan, and does not glug. The bottles are opaque, which shields the oil from light. Some people dislike the plastic on principle, and Graza has acknowledged that feedback directly.
I have seen Graza in glass bottles. Are the squeeze bottles being discontinued?
No. Graza added a glass version in August 2025 with a removable pop-up pour spout and a fully opaque UV-blocking finish, and the CEO framed it as answering customers who simply prefer glass. The squeeze bottles remained in the lineup alongside it. This listing is the squeeze-bottle format, so expect the classic soft plastic bottles.
Can I refill the bottles instead of buying new ones?
Yes. Graza sells nitrogen-sealed, fully opaque aluminum refill cans separately, introduced in 2025, which are meant to be poured into the bottle you already have and are recyclable. The brand has bundled a funnel with some starter kits to make the pour less messy. Refilling is the intended lifecycle for the squeeze bottle rather than a workaround.
Where do the olives come from?
Graza states that roughly 97 percent of its olive oil is made from Picual olives picked, pressed and bottled in Jaen, Spain. The company also says that in a given year you may see oil from another Spanish region such as Granada, Cordoba or Sevilla, or from Alentejo in Portugal or Bari in Italy. Single-variety Picual is the house style either way.
If I can only justify one bottle, which one is it?
For most kitchens Sizzle earns its place first, because it is the bottle you use daily and it can be used raw in a pinch. Drizzle is the upgrade you notice on food that does not get cooked, so it matters most if you eat a lot of salads, bread, beans or finished pasta. The two-bottle pack exists because the two jobs really are different, and buying them together is how Food and Wine framed the duo as a value set.
Is Graza a real extra virgin olive oil, or is it mostly marketing?
It is extra virgin olive oil, predominantly single-variety Picual, and Graza states it is Non-GMO certified and produced in facilities certified allergen and gluten free. The brand grew fast on packaging and social media, and by 2025 press coverage placed it among the largest olive oil brands in the US. Whether it is the best oil at its price is a matter of taste, but the category and sourcing claims are stated openly by the company.
What about the polyphenol numbers people cite for Graza online?
Graza does not publish polyphenol figures for Sizzle or Drizzle. The specific numbers circulating online come from a competing olive oil brand's own blog post about its own testing, with no named third-party lab or methodology, so treat them as unverified rather than settled fact. If polyphenol content is your deciding factor, look for oils that publish independently certified lab reports.
Why did my oil go cloudy or thick in the kitchen?
Extra virgin olive oil naturally clouds and can partially solidify when it gets cold, and it clears again as it warms back to room temperature. It is a physical change, not spoilage or a sign of adulteration. Graza even notes that freezing is an effective way to preserve olive oil, and that some customers have eaten slightly frozen Drizzle in slushy form.
