Will it work in a pump espresso machine?
Yes. Since pre-ground coffee comes at one fixed fineness, you tune dose and tamp instead of grind. If shots run fast and thin, use a slightly larger dose and a firmer, level tamp, and if they choke, use a little less.
How do I get the best cup from a moka pot?
Fill the basket level without tamping and use preheated water in the base. Take the pot off the heat as soon as the stream turns pale and starts to sputter.
What is the difference between Kimbo Napoli and Kimbo Espresso Napoli?
Napoli in the 12 oz bag is 100% arabica, for a sweeter, more floral cup. Espresso Napoli is a different blend of arabica and robusta, with a heavier body and a more bitter cocoa finish, and it is usually sold in an 8.8 oz can.
Why is my crema thinner than I expected?
All-arabica coffee makes less crema than a blend with robusta, and ground coffee loses the gas that builds crema once the bag is opened. Use the coffee soon after opening, keep the bag closed tight and dose a little heavier.
Is there a whole bean version of this coffee?
Yes. Kimbo sells Napoli as a 12 oz whole bean bag with the same blend and roast. If you own a grinder, whole beans let you match the grind to your brewer.
Can I use this in a Keurig or other pod machine?
Not directly, since this is loose ground coffee. You can load it into a refillable K-Cup style filter, or choose Kimbo's own K-Cups, pods or capsules for a pod machine.
How many cups does a 12 oz bag make?
At a 16 to 18 g double-shot dose, a 340 g bag makes about 19 to 21 espressos. At 15 to 20 g per moka pot, you get about 17 to 22 pots.
