Standard Candy Company has made the Goo Goo Cluster in Nashville since 1912, and these are the same confection scaled down: unwrapped, bite-size clusters built on the original recipe. Each one is peanuts, caramel and nougat covered in milk chocolate, formed rather than moulded, so the clusters come out irregular and no two are quite the same size. The 6 oz (170 g) resealable pouch holds roughly six to nine of them.

The format is the main difference from the wrapped bar. There is no disc shape and no wrapper, so a cluster goes down in one or two bites and the bag reseals between sittings. The nougat stays soft, the caramel pulls a little at room temperature, and the milk chocolate coating is sweet and mild rather than dark. Because each cluster is formed by hand-scale portioning, some run mostly peanut while others carry more caramel. Contains peanuts, milk, soy and egg; made on equipment that also handles wheat, coconut and tree nuts.
