Six sealed 35 g portion packs come inside one 210 g box, so a serving can be opened while the remaining packs stay closed. The crackers themselves are thin, light and crumbly, built on a maize base rather than wheat. Schär labels them Gluten Free. They are produced by Dr. Schär and carry the Crossed Grain symbol on the pack.

Schär describes them as traditional Italian crackers, good plain or with toppings and usable as a substitute for bread alongside a meal. They suit cheese, cured meats, spreads, dips, soup or salad, and a single portion pack travels well in a lunch bag.
